The Karen Read Trial was the most significant trial in the country. Karen was accused of hitting her then-boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keeffe, with her car and leaving him to die on a snowy night in January 2022. He was found at the house of retired Boston officer Brian Albert. Read is a 44-year-old financial analyst from Mansfield, Massachusetts.
The prosecution claims that after a night of drinking, the Alberts invited people over to their house. Karen Read and John O’Keefe were also invited. According to the Alberts and the prosecution, John never made it into the house, and Karen hit him with her car while driving in reverse, breaking her taillight.
Many People Believe Karen Read Was Framed By The Massachusetts State Police
The defense claims that John went into the house and that an argument ensued, resulting in him falling down the basement stairs. He was later found on the front lawn. Autopsy photos showed he had a rash on the back of his head and dog scratches on his arm. The Alberts had a dog but had gotten rid of it. Doorbell cameras from across the street didn’t work that night. A Canton officer, who lives across the street, claims his doorbell camera wasn’t working, which is seen by some people as a coincidence.
If Karen really did hit John, wouldn’t there be footage from the doorbell camera? Similarly, if a body was placed there, later on, there should be video proof of it. However, there is no such evidence of Karen hitting John or his body being placed on the front lawn hours later.
Brian Albert’s sister-in-law googled “How long to die in the cold” at 2:27 AM. She claims she didn’t make that search at 2:27 but only when Karen asked her to do so at 6 AM when Karen, Jen, and Kerry Roberts found John in the snow.
There were many people who left the house that night, and not one person claimed to have seen a body, only for it to appear hours later after more snow had fallen. It seems unlikely that nobody saw the body earlier.
Snow plow driver Brian Loughran reported that there was not a body when he went by Brian Albert’s house at 2:30 AM, but a Ford Edge was blocking the house when he attempted to go down the street at 3:30 AM.
Friends and family are protected by the Albert’s But Not Karen Read who’s an outsider
Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Proctor, who was placed on leave for text messages to his superiors about Karen Read while he was investigating the case, is also friends with Brian Albert. Proctor had Karen’s SUV towed from her parent’s house in Dighton to the Canton PD. A Dighton police officer testified that her taillight was only slightly cracked from backing up and hitting John’s car earlier that morning in John’s driveway. The defense claims Proctor planted the taillight where John was found after taking possession of the car.
The jury was hung, and there will be another trial in January 2025. The “Free Karen Read” movement has gained momentum, with people from all over the country buying T-shirts and realizing the possibility of corruption in this case. Adian Kearny, also known as Dr. Turtle Boy, started this movement, gathering facts and hosting YouTube shows about it. He even went door-to-door across from Brian Albert’s house, asking for ring camera footage from that night.
The FBI is investigating the investigation due to the numerous discrepancies. Trooper Michael Proctor and the entire Massachusetts State Police did a poor job, not even entering the Alberts’ house at the time. It is difficult to believe that not one person leaving the house saw a body, only for it to appear hours later after more snow fell. There was nobody at 12:30, 1:30, or 2:30 AM; John wasn’t put onto the front lawn until 4-4:30 AM.
This is a case that will be back in the headlines very soon and we can only hope justice prevails.
