The Philadelphia Eagles will face a slew of teams on the cusp of a Super Bowl and those in rebuild mode. The NFC East will always be a slugfest even with the New York Giants and Washington Commanders looking for an identity. The Dallas Cowboys is a big rivalry and those games will often determine who walks away with the division crown.
The Philadelphia Eagles will face the NFC South and the AFC North as well. The North will be calling with all teas expected to be in the hunt for a playoff spot by season’s end. The NFC South is a different story with the likes of the Saints, Panthers, and Falcons either being led by young QBs or those on the other side of their prime years. According to reports, the Philadelphia Eagles will have the 21st-ranked toughest schedule in the league for the upcoming 2024 season.
Here is the 2024 Schedule Breakdown for the Philadelphia Eagles
Green Bay Packers
The Packers were one of the surprise teams last season. With many doubting the skills of Jordan Love heading into the season and early on, the young signal-caller caught fire and led his squad to a playoff berth where they demolished the Dallas Cowboys. This will be a tough matchup for the Eagles on foreign soil.
Atlanta Falcons
Is Kirk Cousins healed from his injury? If not, things will get rowdy down in ATL this season. With a ton of youth at their disposal, the Falcons are set to make a run and win the NFC South but that all depends on Cousins. This is a young team with a great upside no matter the draft distractions.
New Orleans Saints
What are the Saints doing and where are they headed this season? Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara are back but are they enough to make a serious run for a division title? Following a 9-win season, they appear to be trending in the right direction. If the defense can get timely stops, the Saints could challenge the Bucs and Falcons for the South crown.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Money was spent on returning players and it was well deserved for everyone. In one of the weakest divisions in the NFL, the Buccaneers should have a clear path to another division title and the playoffs. Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield should be in store for another dynamic season.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are looking to bounce back from a season full of injuries to their top players. Deshaun Watson wants to quiet the critics while Nick Chubb is seeking to wreak havoc on defenses. Myles Garrett is still one of the best in the game and their receiving corps is loaded with talent.
New York Giants
Daniel Jones is still the guy in NY but is that enough following the loss of Barkley? The Giants still need help at receiver and almost every offensive skill position. The defense is solid and they will need to carry the load this season. The Cinderella period is over.
Cincinnati Bengals
The “Revenge Tour” is on with the return of Joe Burrow. Although the Bengals lost Joe Mixon and Tyler Boyd, the offense will still be explosive. Hoverer, in their down season of sorts, the rest of the AFC North took a step in the right direction. Can they keep up?
Jacksonville Jaguars
This has to be the year for the Jaguars, right? The offense is still good despite the departure of Calvin Ridley Jr. The main issue they will face is that the AFC South is not a cakewalk for them anymore. The defense will have to be on their A-Game weekly and Trevor Lawrence will have to earn his money.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys want to put last season behind them. While not much was done in the offseason in terms of free agency, they did manage to bring back a familiar face with the addition of Ezekiel Elliott. Mike McCarthy has to know that his time in Big D may be winding down if he can’t get this talented roster to at least the NFC Championship Game this seaosn.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders will showcase their rookie signal caller Jayden Daniels. Even under new management and coaching, the Commanders will still struggle this year but not as much as most think. They still have weapons on the offensive side and their defense has a point to prove this coming season.
Los Angeles Rams
Aaron Donald is retired. Who will step into the role? Not just the production, but the role of leader. The Rams offense has the potential to be the best in the NFL. They can run the ball and their passing attack could remind many of the “Greatest Show on Turf.”
Baltimore Ravens
Talk about a team with a chip on their shoulders. What will Lamar Jackson do for an MVP encore? Winning a Super Bowl is the only item left on his “Bucket List”.” With the addition of Derrick Henry, the Ravens are expected to have one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, again.
Carolina Panthers
Is this the season where Bryce Young makes his jump or will he be on the outside looking in? The Panthers haven’t done too much to help improve their chances in the Draft or free agency so this might be another down year for the team in Carolina.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The team with the two-headed QB approach. Who will be starting for the Steelers will be the storyline to follow for the season. Mike Tomlin has a way of getting the best out of everybody and he will need to use every bit of power he has to pull a rabbit out of the hat this season. But it can be done.
