Bill Belichick made it a point to say he was under contract at Monday’s press conference. Speculation about the future of Belichick continues to go on as Kraft and Belichick met Monday without a decision. They are expected to meet again in which Kraft will probably cave and tell Bill to hire a GM and he would just be the coach. Like with hiring Bill O’Brien last year Belichick will undermine it.
Now, there’s talks of Belichick comes back he’ll bring back Josh McDaniels who’s free while getting paid by the Raiders. Regardless if Belichick is back even with McDaniel’s and O’Brien Mac Jones can’t be here with Bill Belichick. No first round quarterback should doesn’t matter who they get in the draft. Belichick will make whoever the GM is answer to him.
Bill Belichick has put his Job in Robert Kraft’s lap
Belichick threatened Kraft to fire him bringing up that he’s under contract when he never does. When it suits him though he makes an exception. “Go ahead fire me Robert but you’ll still have to pay me regardless.” So now Kraft is backed into a corner will he be the the owner to get rid of Brady and Belichick? Kraft will probably bring him back and you can kiss away the draft pick.
People need to realize whoever the GM is it will be a FOB friend of Bill. Doesn’t Kraft think they need some fresh young blood in there that cares about today’s offense? The Patriots offense only worked with one quarterback today quarterbacks need talent around them. I’ll keep saying forever put Brock Purdy on the Patriots with their talent he would suck period.
The Patriots with Belichick are behind the times. This isn’t the 2000s when you could win on defense. It’s all about offense today I don’t think Kraft will hire someone that is part of the Sean McVay coaching tree. I think he will hire someone who he’s familiar with. Also, if they are getting paid by another team. Titans are paying Mike Vrabel he’s free, Josh McDaniels getting paid by the Raiders he’s free. The only coach they’d be paying wouldn’t be on the Patriots is Bill Belichick.
Having read that Kraft and Belichick will have another meeting I think Kraft will keep Belichick. I don’t think he has it to fire him I think Jonathan would but not Robert. By the end of the week if there is no answer from the Patriots then Belichick is coming back to coach. He’ll bring Josh McDaniels to work with Bill O’Brien and probably trade Mac Jones.
