The Dallas Cowboys “Texas Coast Offense” dismantled the New York Giants and put up 49 points at home as the Dallas Cowboys won their 12th straight game at AT&T Stadium with a 49-17 victory. That was expected and my question remains the same, can the Dallas Cowboys do this on the road consistently? We saw Dak Prescott put up outstanding numbers in Philadelphia during his two worst games in Arizona and San Francisco he was the Dak Prescott we all hate to see. Or was it the coaching? I blame Coach McCarthy more for those two losses.
Dallas Cowboys Offense
The Texas Coast Offense was on fire against the New York Giants even with one inexplicable interception by Dak Prescott. Brandin Cooks had nine receptions for 173 yards and scored a TD. Michael Gallup scored a TD as well; Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb are playing pitch and catch against a bunch of high school players NFL secondaries are getting torched by these two. Lamb had 11 receptions for 151 yards and scored a TD as well as scoring on a beautiful 14-yard carry.
So AJ Brown had his six-games-in-a-row streak snapped when he caught for over 125 yards when the Cowboys limited his results. Well, Ceedee Lamb is on the first-ever 3 game streak in NFL history where he has caught more than 10 passes and has more than 150 receiving yards.
McCarthy finally called running plays that weren’t going up the A gap. He finally put Rico Dowdle (79 yards) and Tony Pollard (55 yards) in much better spots by running behind Zach Martin and Tyler Smith!! Finally, he stopped trying to run the ball in behind Tyler Biadiasz. He limited Tony Pollard’s carries as he had 15 carries and Dowdle had 12 carries. Sorry to all you Tony Pollard lovers out there but he’s not a number one RB he is more effective as the number two option.
Dak Prescott was held out of the fourth quarter after his 404 yards of passing and 4 TDs along with the one interception. Dak Prescott’s season numbers are looking much better after beating the Giants and will be improving each week hopefully.
The Carolina Panthers defense is in for a long afternoon facing this Dallas Cowboys offense. The Panthers defense ranks 26th overall. The Dallas Cowboys offense ranks 10th in the league after all the red-zone issues earlier in the season and that will improve if they destroy the Carolina Panthers and continue to run the football behind the two guards.
As long as this Dallas Cowboys offense continues to play this way you won’t hear me bitching and moaning about Coach McCarthy. He finally used Brandin Cooks and that has to continue in order for the Cowboys’ to play meaningful playoff football.
Dallas Cowboys Defense
Did you hear Micah Parsons name all game long against the Giants? No, you didn’t that’s because the rest of the crew showed up and beat up the Giants offensive line. Demarcus Lawrence Neville Gallimore Dante Fowler Sam Williams and Dorance Armstrong all had a sack.
Daron Bland got his league-tying leading 5th interception on the season and the Dallas Cowboys’ defense held the Giants offense to 27 yards of offense in the first half.
Hi Bryce Young, you’re in for a very long day against this Dallas Cowboys defense when Micah Parsons isn’t coming after you. Now Bryce Young has a weak offensive line playing in front of him and this means trouble with a capital T for the rookie.
I fully expect this Dallas Cowboys defense to attack the Carolina Panthers much like they did the New York Giants. This could get really ugly in a quick hurry for the Panthers. I remind this group to not take this game lightly as I always seem to need to remind this team. Attack the Panthers and get off the field like you did against the New York Giants because Thanksgiving Day is coming and the more rest y’all get the better. Sam Howell who leads the NFL in passing yardage will be ready to attack this group and they need to be ready for the annual Turkey Day game.
My Prediction
The Dallas Cowboys will defeat the Carolina Panthers handily on Sunday I look at the score being just as bad as the wins over the Giants. Bryce Young will throw Daron Bland his 4th pick-six interception and the Dallas Cowboys will win this game 45-6.
