The Philadelphia Eagles must now play as if this is the playoffs. There are no more gimme games left. While the New York Giants still loom, that’s a divisional game and the Giants would love nothing more than to rain on the Eagles parade.
With their Week 7 loss to the New York Jets, the Eagles will enter that meat of their schedule 5-1. Sounds good right? However, we’re about to see just how good the reigning NFC Champs are. Is this the same squad that made it to the Super Bowl last season or were they a one-hit wonder?
Following the loss to the Jets, the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the 5-1 Miami Dolphins with their high-powered offense then travel to DC to take on the Washington Commanders before hosting their hated rival, Dallas Cowboys before their Bye Week. Ouch. But it doesn’t stop there.
Following their Bye, it’s time to get down and dirty with the AFC juggernauts, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Buffalo Bills. Both teams are expected to be the crème of the crop in their Conference and the Eagles will undoubtedly have their hands full.
How Many Games Will The Philadelphia Eagles Lose
Following that tough stretch, there is no rest as the Eagles’ road ahead is nothing like it was last season. Their next opponent will be the San Francisco 49ers who more than likely have this game circled on their calendar the moment the schedules were announced. They want revenge and the Eagles need to show that their NFC Championship win was no fluke despite the 49ers’ injuries.
Once done with the 49ers, they turn right around and do battle with the Cowboys, yet again. But wait, the test keeps coming as they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. It’s playoffs team after playoff team with no breaks in between.
With 3 games left in the season, they will battle the Giants twice with the Arizona Cardinals and their former defensive coordinator, Jonathan Gannon leading the charge.
5-0 to start the season was great. The games are now over. It’s time to see what the Philadelphia Eagles are made of.
