Colorado Football is halfway there. After winning just one game last season, Deion Sanders has his team at least 4 games away from a Bowl Game. Yes, being nationally ranked has sparked a lot of questions regarding their possibilities shot but even Prime will tell you, they’re not there yet. But they are one step closer to a Bowl Game.
Hell, 2 wins are an improvement. What Sanders has brought to Boulder, Colorado is more than wins and losses. Colorado Football has an identity. It now has a winning culture. This is not a color thing. Alabama has it. Georgia has it. Michigan and others have it, now add the Colorado Buffaloes to that list.
With the toughest part of their schedule approaching, we’re about to see just how far they have to go. 10th-ranked Oregon is up next. Even with a loss, Colorado is still in great shape. They can leave that game 3-1 and still be in the driver’s seat for a Bowl Game. When was the last time Colorado played in a Bowl Game?
The last time they played in a Bowl Game was in 2020 and that was due to a shortened season. Sanders and his team are about to change that this year and this is his first season. Talk about bringing a winning culture, he has more than done that.
While the PAC-12 will be decimated after this season, why not end it with a bang and possibly have 5-6 teams in Bowl Games? No one saw this coming. They knew Deion would bring some swag to Colorado but winning was not counted on. The entire nation is watching just as I said they would. And they have not disappointed.
Will Colorado Football Make A Bowl Game
No, they are not the No. 1 team in the nation but they have a bullseye on their backs. Rappers, entertainers, and anyone who’s who are at the games and on the sidelines. Boulder is the place to be as far as College Football. Colorado Football making it to a Bowl Game would be huge for the fans, the players, the school, recruiting, and for College Football in terms of business.
With games still to go against Utah, USC, UCLA, and Oregon State, things could fall apart for Colorado but the way they have played, that’s highly unlikely. Will Colorado go undefeated? No, but they will put up a fight. After beating one ranked team, there is nothing saying they can’t do it again.
7 wins will get you a Bowl invite and Sanders has his team ready to accept one. It doesn’t matter what Bowl it is but since CFB is a business, you best believe that everyone outside of the top 4 Bowls are watching closely. They know that fans will travel, TV ratings will be high, and they will draw a huge and celebrity-filled fan base in the city the Bowl is in.
Some wanted Prime to fail and others wanted him to succeed. It’s easy to see now that the business side of College Football has no choice but to embrace Colorado Football and the new movement. This is good for all parties involved. The Bowls are there, all they need is for Colorado to do their part. 3 down, and 4 to go.
