I started making this chicken recipe for my family when I needed to try something new for a change. My partner started researching what we could do with Buffalo Wild Wings sauces, and we found a few recipes and made some adjustments to them to make them favorable in our home.
It was a hit the first time I made this for my family. So I went to get a little more. However, the crockpot was empty and in the sink, soaking, getting ready for what might come to my mind to make next. From then on, I knew this had to be made a few times a month. So here is my version!
Ingredients:
2.5 to 3 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
1 12-ounce bottle of Buffalo Wild Wings Parm Garlic sauce
1 8-ounce package of Full-fat Cream Cheese
One 8-ounce package of Fresh Shredded Parmesan Cheese
12 ounces Heavy Whipping Cream
1 1lb box pasta of choice (I use rotini)
One 8-ounce container of grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
Start by turning your crockpot on too high. Cut the chicken breast into strips and add to the crockpot. Next, pour the Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce into the crockpot. Fill the bottle with the heavy whipping cream, pour a little into the crockpot, then cap and shake to get the remaining sauce from the bottle.
Next, cut the cream cheese into four pieces and place each element in the crockpot. Next, take the fresh shredded parmesan cheese and dump that into the crockpot as well. Stir to combine. Cover on HIGH for 4 hours.
At the 4-hour mark, start your pasta. You will need either a hand mixer with beaters or a stand mixer. Whichever you choose, use it to shred the chicken, use a stand mixer, add to the bowl, or use beaters can be done in the crockpot itself. When the pasta is done, add to the crockpot and mix well.
Next, grab the grated parmesan cheese, add about a cup of the grated parmesan to the mixture, and let sit in the crockpot for an additional hour.
When the hour has passed, go stir and serve! My family really prefers to have this served in a bowl with extra cheese on the top. I hope you enjoy this cheesy, spicy delight as much as my family. See ya next time!
