The Philadelphia Eagles are right where they should be and that’s heading to the Super Bowl. But as good as they have played this season, the doubters are still out in full force. The Kansas City Chiefs have been the darlings of the NFL for the past 3 years and rightfully so with the 2 Super Bowl appearances, one championship, and arguably, the games best QB leading the way. But what about the Eagles?
Heading into the 2022-23 season, the Philadelphia Eagles were picked to finish behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East and not fair as well in the playoffs. Oh wait, and let’s not forget the questions surrounding their starting QB, Jalen Hurts. This was to be his make-or-break year. His “he has to prove it or the Eagles should draft another QB” year. And here he is, at center stage going against Patrick Mahomes.
The Eagles will open the Super Bowl as favorites but that’s what Vegas thinks. The so-called professional analysts still think the Eagles have yet to be tested. What is not tested?
A team that goes 14-3 in today’s NFL is not tested? A team that has 3 skilled players with over 1000 yards from scrimmage is not tested? A team that won the best division in football is not tested? And a team who demolished the highly-touted San Francisco 49ers who were supposed to be the only team who could matchup against the Eagles. Well, I guess, they’re still we’re not tested?
If they haven’t been tested, then that means the Philadelphia Eagles are the real deal. That means that no matter who is thrown in their direction, the Eagles have thwarted all competition with ease. They don’t have to be tested. If you’re as dominant as people think they are, then why should they be tested l, that means no one is on their level.
Can The Philadelphia Eagles Beat The Chiefs?
But the Chiefs are supposed to pose a threat to them. What people are looking for is a team to actually beat the Eagles. They don’t care if they are tested, the naysayers just want them to be beaten. So far, the only team to hand the eagles a defeat are the Washington Commanders. The Eagles’ other two losses came with Jalen Hurts out with an injury.
A healthy and hungry Philadelphia Eagles team is the crème of the crop. It’s a reason why they went 14-3. It’s a reason why they have scored 69 points in just two playoffs game. It’s a reason why they have given up just 14 points in 2 playoff games. They have not been tested because no one in the NFC is on their level.
Don’t hate them for that. Because if this were the Chiefs, Mahomes, and company would receive praise instead of being labeled as pretenders. It’s that simple.
Hate all you want. The Philadelphia Eagles don’t care. The Chiefs have SB experience will be the media coverage heading into the game but yet, people are forgetting that this Eagles team still has rollovers from their 2017 Super Bowl-winning roster. They are not as clueless as some are making them out to be.
Mahomes should win MVP this season but across the field is the person who would have won if he did not miss 2 games late in the year. On the opposite side of the coin is a player ls like Darius Slay, James Bradbury, and CJ Garden-Johnson. These are players who previous teams had given up on. And how can we forget Hassan Reddick who was has terrorized opposing QBs all season and has continued that trend in the playoffs.
Not tested, huh? That’s ok. All they have done is win and are one of the last 2 teams standing. Keep hating. They love it. The Philadelphia Eagles have one more game to prove everyone wrong, again.
