5) Jalen Hurts is the MVP:
The Philadelphia Eagles dominated a good Tennessee Titans team, 35-10. Hurts threw for 380 yards and 3 touchdowns. On the year he is completing 68% of his passes, has 29 total touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions. Each week he finds a way to win with his arm or his legs. He has rushed for 609 yards on the season. The Eagles are 11-1 and appear to be at least on their way to an NFC Championship game.
4) Can we give the Minnesota Vikings some respect?
In the preseason, I had the Vikings winning the NFC North. They are on pace to do that. The Vikings keep winning games and get no respect nationally. I don’t care who you play, It is hard to win the NFL. When you go 10-2 to start the regular season, that is impressive. Tom Brady made a career of beating up bad teams in the AFC East. Put some damn respect on Minnesota’s name. They are beating up on lesser competition, which is what good teams do.
3) It is time to fire Brandon Staley:
For two years I watched the chargers blow leads, make mental errors and take a loss when they should have won the game. Their head coach has turned Justin Herbert into a game manager. It is only when the Chargers are losing that Staley lets his quarterback make plays. With 4 minutes left in the first half against the Raiders, Herbert was 6 of 11 for 58 yards. The Raiders are ranked 30th in pass defense. Staley is the most conservative play caller in the NFL and the team has 6 wins despite his incompetence.
2) Joe Burrow owns the Kansas City Chiefs:
Last season, On Jan. 2nd, the Bengals beat the Chiefs 34-31 in Cincinnati. They also defeated the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, 27-24. Evan Macpherson FG won that game to send the Bengals to The Super Bowl. On Sunday, Cincy outscored the Chiefs 10-0 in the 4th quarter and won, 27-24. Burrow is now 3-0 against Patrick Mahomes. If these two meet in the playoffs, all the money should go on the Bengals. The Chiefs don’t match up well against them.
1) Tom Brady does it again:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got dominated for 55 minutes on Monday night against the New Orleans Saints. Tampa scored 14 points in the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter to beat the Saints,17-16. Brady has now won 20 Monday night football games tying Dan Marino for the most all-time. Andy Dalton has lost 8 straight games in primetime. I am sorry, but if Dalton is your franchise quarterback, you deserve to lose. Do better New Orleans.
