Erling Haaland Is Still Carrying City

What five things did we learn this week? Once again, Erling Haaland was on the scoresheet in a game that resulted in a win against Wolves. Pep Guardiola can always generate different game plans to involve his leading man. All he needs is one touch to be a danger for any team. Wolves could not create enough chances to impact the game, a struggling area that has overshadowed their game. For Wolves to find any chance of winning more games, a more offensive approach needs to be taken and worked after the international break.

Son Dazzles As The NLD Looms

It was probably the most resilient performance in a match that Leicester City showed in the first half. Tottenham looked sloppy. Too many careless passes led to an evenly squared game by halftime. The game completely changed when Son Heung-Min came onto the field, scoring a hat-trick in 13 minutes. Some may wonder why he started on the bench, but it didn’t take long for him to bag his goal. Son looks to continue his excellent performance into the North London Derby after the international break.

Arsenal Back On Top!

Manchester City and Tottenham won the day before. All eyes were on the Gooners, and they delivered. Mikel Arteta’s side needs to continue being consistent and keep the same level of intensity if they aim to stay within the top four this season. A common issue last season came from losing games consecutively after winning multiple in a row. So far, they’ve shown that it’s a mentality of the past.

Fulham Continue To Be Resilient

Falling behind in a game doesn’t seem to faze Marco Silva’s side. Going up against Nottingham Forest on the road, Fulham turned a 1-0 deficit into a 3-2 win. The team currently sits sixth on the table, which should be an accomplishment heading into the international break. With gritty performances like this, there should be a place for Silva’s side to stay in the Premier League this season.

Everton Feel-Good Factor Is Back, For Now

Under Frank Lampard this season, Everton looks like putting up a fight against every team they play. The defending has been solid, but the fanbase has been searching for the first win. Today, it happened thanks to Neal Maupay, who took his first touch and goal well. Everton looked dominant and positive from the start of the match. If this is the philosophy that Lampard wants to instill in his team, they’ll be in many games this season. The goal is to progress this year, and so far, Lampard’s side has done that compared to last year.

I will be on top of the EPL all season long make sure to follow me and my work on our site.
