Manny Pacquiao returned to the ring for quite possibly the final time when he took on WBA welterweight titleholder Yordenis Ugas in Las Vegas on Saturday on FOX PPV.
The former eight-division champion was originally slated to fight Errol Spence Jr., but the unified welterweight champion had to bow out with a torn retina in his left eye earlier this month.

Ugas won a unanimous decision and immediately sparked questions about Pacquiao, 42, potentially going into retirement.
Fight Nights Clubhouse Team Ugas everywhere were fired up after Yordenis Ugas was announced as the unanimous decision winner.

Si hermano.
Se acabó el tiempo de hablar. Es tiempo de irse.#Ugas 🇨🇺— CowboysFanGreg (@GregCowboys) August 18, 2021
Yordenis Ugas got a marquee win against Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao maybe 42, but Ugas made a name for himself by winning the main event of a pay-per-view fight against one of the biggest names in the sport.
Ugas retained the WBA welterweight belt.
What now for the 35-year-old Cuban?
Ugas may have earned a fight against Errol Spence Jr., who was originally slated to fight Pacquiao before having surgery for a detached retina.
If Spence recovers quickly, that would make sense as the next fight for Ugas. Both are belt-holders in the welterweight division.
Fight Clubhouse has remained essentially the same since before “The Old Speakeasy” days.
Every chapter has its own rules, so it would be pure madness to try compare members from one chapter to another.
But the fight is the game and as they say in Hollywood:
“The game is…The Game!”
Combat Sports was a runaway hit before the Covid-19 Pandemic and all CDC Protocols did was slow it down a bit.
Fight Nights seem to be increasing in popularity, but that’s not the case.
The popularity seems increased only because the “Die Hards” are welcoming the coverage “Curious More Social Media Wise Individuals-Types” on Fight Nights can provide.
Hence the booming popularity of “Celebrity Fights”.
