Wow, what a crazy wild NBA weekend with all the great games from the Eastern and western conferences.
The Milwaukee Bucks went into Brooklyn and won game seven 115-111, and they advanced to the eastern conference.
Giannis Antetokounmpo came to make a statement in this game and he did not disappoint. Giannis scored 40 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Giannis hit a clutch bucket over Durant in overtime to tie the game up at 111-111.
On the next possession, Brook Lopez blocked Durant which would lead to the crucial bucket by Khris Middleton to give them a 113-111 lead.
The Bucks would go on to outscore the Nets 4 to 2 in overtime.
The Bucks are going back to the Eastern Conference finals. The last time, Milwaukee played in the Eastern Conference was in 2019. Milwaukee would go on to lose to the Toronto Raptors in six games.
The Bucks have a chance to redeem themselves and reach the NBA finals. The Bucks as a franchise hasn’t won a championship since 1971 and they haven’t been back to the finals since 1974.
The Brooklyn Nets lost to the Bucks and their season came to end.
Despite, the Nets losing to the Bucks. Kevin Durant put up another great performance for his team and he left everything on the court.
Durant finished the game with 48 points, nine rebounds, and six rebounds. Durant also played the entire game plus overtime.
Watching Durant, hit a remarkable shot to send the game in overtime was something special to watch. At that moment, it looked like the Nets had all the momentum going into overtime.
However, that wasn’t the case because when it mattered most the Bucks made shots and got stops from players like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez, and Khris Middleton.
The Milwaukee Bucks will be facing the Atlanta Hawks in the eastern conference finals. The Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 103-96.
Kevin Huerter had his playoff career-high in a crucial game seven. Huerter scored 27 points for the Hawks.
Trae Young didn’t have his greatest shooting night, but he still made some key plays for his team throughout the game.
Young made a late 3-pointer and scored 21 points to help Atlanta for the third time in the series in Philadelphia.
The 76ers have a lot of question marks going into the off-season. What are they going to do with Ben Simmons?
Simmon’s inability to make three throws and shots from the perimeter is a big issue for the 76ers because with the way the NBA is played today shooting is something that’s a need.
Should the 76ers consider trading Ben Simmons?
Is Doc Rivers the problem? It seems like the problem Doc had with the Clippers followed him with the 76ers because in game 4 the 76ers blew an 18-point lead and in game 5 they blew a 26-point lead.
Joel Embiid is someone who’s always banged up and his health seems to be an issue.
On the west coast, the Clippers made history and reached the western conference for the first time. The Clippers came down from 25 points against the Jazz.
The Clippers scored 79 points in the second half while shooting 75% from the field. The Clippers hit fourteen threes all in the second half.
Terance Mann dropped a career-high 39 points and had the game on his life against the Utah Jazz. The Clippers have been playing like a different team since Tyronn Lue has been the head coach.
Coach Lue, keeps making the right adjustments throughout this playoff run.
This postseason has been great to watch because any of the remaining four teams have an actual chance at winning the title year. It’s not just one team that’s just more dominant than all the other teams that are playing.
