UFC Vegas 8 Preview

Diving deep into UFC Vegas 8 Fight Night features Anthony Smith vs. Aleksandar Rakic.

Rakic might be coming off a loss, but he’s the betting favorite against Anthony Smith in the last Apex UFC event in August.

UFC Vegas 7 Recap

It was time for the showdown, as Frankie Edgar made his bantamweight debut against dangerous Pedro Munhoz.
Frankie Edgar is an all-time great, a former UFC Champion with impressive ability to recover after a hard shot. Pedro Munhoz is one of the heavier-hitting fighters in the bantamweight division, so he was more than willing to take shots if it meant landing a clean one of his own.

The whole fight was highly unpredictable and a crapshoot, but the consensus was that he would win if Edgar went the distance. The question was whether Edgar could go five rounds without having a Munhoz blow blast him.

I predicted – incorrectly! that Pedro Munhoz would win by TKO in the 3rd round.

My gambling live story ask me who I like, then bet the opposite! 😂 "Old Timer" did himself proud 👏Great Job Frankie ✊ #UFCVegas7 pic.twitter.com/EvdAQKKqBD

Contender Series Episodes 3 and 4 Recaps

Dana White’s Contender Series Episodes 3 and 4 of The Reality Show kept moving right along with their theme: Ultimate Job Interview.

First win obtained by unanimous decision was Kenneth Cross.
Second win in Parisian vs. Johnson….Parisian in decisive fashion!
Cheyanne Bus got a unanimous decision victory.
After their victories, there was little doubt that both Cosce brothers will earn UFC contracts.

And The Boss was right back at it handing UFC contracts Tuesday, August 25th, on Episode Four as the action continued at the UFC Apex.

There is a harsh reality that comes with signing new UFC talent. After the latest round of Contender Series signings, Dana White reminded fans and fighters that the UFC is still a numbers game.

It wasn’t that long ago that any fighter with two losses in a row could essentially consider themselves out of a job.
