As NASCAR stays out west in Phoenix, Arizona this week and a number of drivers are hungry for that first win of the 2020 season, here are my match up picks and leans for Sunday’s NASCAR race.
- Jimmie Johnson +125 > William Byron – Give me plus money for a driver that is hungry to get not only a win but a strong finish. Johnson has 4 career wins at PHX and has ran well his last two races at PHX finishing 14th and 8th. While Byron has been finishing in the middle of pack at PHX averaging a 15th place finish in his last 4 races at PHX.
- Ryan Blaney +155 > Brad Keselowski – A great price on Blaney I couldn’t pass up. +155 for a driver that has finished 3rd the last two races at PHX and had some late bad luck in Fontana. Blaney was running at the front the entire race until a flat tire with 3 laps to go put him in the back. He will be looking for a bounce back in PHX vs Brad Keselowski who has finished 10th, 9th, 2nd and 15th.
- Kevin Harvick +100 vs Kyle Busch – Kevin Harvick has won at PHX 9 times in his career. He absolutely dominates at this track and being able to get plus money on Harvick I couldn’t pass up. He qualified 2nd for the race and will be up front most the race and the driver to beat.
- Bowyer -115 > DiBenedetto – Bowyer has shown in the last 4 races what it takes to get to the front of the pack in Phoenix. The last 4 races at PHX Boyer has started 13, 26, 16 and 19 then ended up finishing 8th, 11th, 35th and 6th. Bowyer qualified 18th this week which is right where Bowyer wants to be. Yes, DiBenedetto is racing great this year but I’m going with a more experienced driver on the short price while DiBenedetto has finished 13th, 28th, 21st and 25th in his last 4 races at PHX.
