The UFC is in the nation’s capital for the second to last event of the decade and 2019. One of the fighters on this weekend card is Yana “Foxy” Kunitskaya who is looking for her 3rd straight win and to increase her number seven ranking in the Bantamweight division. It’s been 8 months since she entered the ring after a bloody win against Marion Reneau know as “The Belizean Bruiser”. The fight saw Yana suffer a broken nose and needed surgery to repair it. Now she is locked and loaded and ready to step back into the octagon. She was kind enough to step away from training for a bit and share her thoughts.
When asked about her opponent 24-year-old Aspen Ladd she pointed out that Ladd is a great Grappler and also has a bit of speed. Ladd is coming off a loss in the form of a first-round knockout and also has issues with cutting weight. Stressing being patient and also making the most of her opportunities when they come Yana is primed for this one. A win here should send Kunitskaya into the top contender’s talk.
