The Red Sox announced this morning that Pablo Sandoval has been designated for assignment. For All Red Sox fans it’s a long time coming for this overweight overpaid slob who did absolutely nothing but collect millions of dollars while he was here, so good riddance Pablo.
The numbers are astonishing of how much money this guy made here for every at bat he made $165,213. He made $590,062 per game. He made $698,529 per hit. 6,785,714 per home run. $1,610,169 per RBI. Once again another big name player they sign and he does nothing but take the money and suck. Both Carl Crawford and Pablo Sandoval played 161 games for the Red Sox and has 14 home runs. It is clear that both were awful money waste signings for the Red Sox. Dave Dombrowski said today the team has to move forward. All that guy did was complain and always out his last reason to be on the DL because of an ear ache was complete B.S. The Red Sox wanted him out just really had to find the right time. Dave Dombrowski gave him a ton of chances and it wasn’t even his guy.
It was a big difference with Seven Marrero, and Tzu Wei Lin played third base and they are a much better team without that fat load wondering what the post game meal is.
The Red Sox open the second half of the season with the Yankees this weekend. Drew Pomeranz, Chris Sale, Rick Porcello, and David Price will be pitching this series. It’s an important series as the Red Sox hold a 3.5 game lead in first place ahead of the Yankees.
This is a big series for both teams. The Red Sox had a little slump to go into the break but should at least take 3 out of 4 this weekend. David Price pitched Sunday night and on national T.V. It will be interesting to see how he does. But with Pablo out they have the right pieces moving forward just need another arm in the bullpen at the trade deadline on July 31st.
