The third annual 60Eight Basketball Tournament is set to return to Madison College December 15-16, 2023 highlighting some of the top prep players in the state of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The tournament features 8 teams. No. 2 ranked Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings, No. 3 Oshkosh North Spartans, No. 4 Lakeville North Panthers (MN), No. 5 Onalaska Hilltoppers, No.6 Stoughton Vikings, No. 8 Lake Mills L-Cats, Verona Wildcats, and the Waunakee Warriors.
There will be two special showcase games featuring No. 3 Oshkosh North vs No. 6 Stoughton, and No. 8 Lake Mills vs Waunakee.
The showcase games will take place on Saturday, December 16th.

The 60Eight tournament will feature four Division 1 commits led by the No.1 ranked player in Wisconsin, 2024 five-star Duke commit Kon Knueppel, future Wisconsin Badgers commit 2024, Jack Robison of Lakeville North, Onalaska’s Evan Anderson (South Dakota), and Oshkosh North’s Stevie Clark (Colgate) and Division II Michigan Tech commit Stoughton’s, Ty Fernholz.
The teams participating in the basketball tournament combined for a 156-56 record, marking a .735 overall winning percentage so you’ll witness high-level basketball competition being played.
The 60Eight Basketball Tournament Director is Billy Kegler.
Kegler was the Madison College head men’s basketball coach for two seasons, leading the WolfPack to a 38-21 (.644) record from 2016-18. He was named the North Central Community College Conference Coach of the Year following the 2017-18 season. Kegler spent the previous four seasons as an assistant coach under Scot Vesterdahl.
Before coaching, Kegler played on the UW-La Crosse men’s basketball team from 2004-2008 as a forward.
Kegler was a recipient of the UW-La Crosse Men’s Basketball Dedication and Team Unity Award and was nominated to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Waterloo, Wisconsin, native graduated from UW-La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science with a major in Sport Management (2008), and earned his Masters of Recreation, Sport, and Tourism at the University of Illinois Global Campus (2011).
