5) Miami has become a national joke:
The Duke Blue Devils had lost 5 straight games going into Saturdays contest with the Miami Hurricanes. They outscored the Canes 14-0 in the 4th quarter to win, 27-17. Manny Diaz’s team has lost to (3-9) Georgia Tech, (5-6) North Carolina and now (5-7) Duke.
This program has fallen on hard times. What was once a perennial powerhouse is now an average college football team, at best.
4) Do not count out Oklahoma Out:
No.7 Oklahoma dominated No. 21 Oklahoma State,34-16. The Sooners will play No. 9 Baylor for the Big-12 Championship next Saturday. If OU can beat them again, they should get invited to the Final Four Playoffs. Jalen Hurts won’t win the Heisman Trophy but he should get invited to New York as a finalist. He has rushed for over 1,200 yards, passed for over 3,330 yards and has 49 total touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. He is the best dual threat quarterback in college football.
3) The Oregon Ducks are in the spoiler mode:
The (10-2) Ducks will face off against the No.6 Utah Utes in the PAC-12 Championship game. Utah still has an outside chance to make it to the Final Four. If Oregon can upset the Utes it will be considered a successful season. In two years, Mario Cristobal is 19-7 in Eugene. He is 13-5 in the PAC-12. The Ducks may never win a national championship but he has brought respect back to a program that was once elite, under Chip Kelly.
2) Alabama and Nick Saban have a meltdown against Auburn:
Nick Saban and Alabama lost to a very good Auburn team, 48-45. This was not an upset at all. Saban is 10-0 against Auburn teams that finish with fewer than nine wins, he is now 0-8 against Auburn teams that win nine or more games. The Crimson Tide struggled in the Iron Bowl and had several miscues and mistakes. They had 13 penalties, gave up two interceptions for touchdowns and missed a FG late in the game. Auburn deserved to win this game. On this day, they were a better team from start to finish on both sides of the ball.
1) Michigan Fans… It is what it is:
The Michigan Wolverines lost to Ohio State, again, 56-27. The Wolverines have now lost 15 out of the last 16 games to the Buckeyes. Jim Harbaugh is O-5 against OSU.
2015: Loss (42-13).
2016: Loss (30-27).
2017: Loss (31-20).
2018: Loss (62-39).
2019: Loss (56-27).
After the game a reporter asked Coach Harbaugh, “Is it a talent gap, is it a preparation gap, is it a coaching gap… What is the biggest difference between you and Ohio State at this point?”
Harbaugh responded by saying, “I will answer your questions not insults.”
I will answer the question. Here it is Michigan fans. You are not an elite program, you are not Ohio State nor have you ever been. You haven’t won a championship since 1997. Ohio State dominates you. They are now responsible for 3 of the 4 highest scoring games vs Michigan under Harbaugh. Here is some advice for the fans. Accept the fact that you will win 9 or 10 games most years. You wont compete for a National Championship and you won’t win the Big-10 title over the next decade. Stop thinking you are an elite program, you aren’t. You are no different than Oregon or Oklahoma State. Wisconsin is probably slightly better than you. If Harbaugh was smart, he would have his agent start contacting NFL teams.
