2K League Finals Preview

Wizards District Gaming is back in the 2k league finals once again after winning the NBA 2KLeague Championship in Season 3. After sweeping both Nets GC and Knicks This will be the first time in 2KLeague history that a team that won the championship the previous year has made it back to the Finals.

Wizards did a great job against Knicks Gaming slowing down their guard’s Duck and OriginalMalik that are known for their scoring at their positions. JBM put up 26 points and 9 assists in game 1 almost putting up a double-double as he went on to get his double-double in game 2 with 30 points and 11 assists. JustAwkward also dropped a big 21 point in game 1 along with Dayfri putting up a double-double in game 1 with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

As District Gaming advance to the Eastern Conference finals they matchup against Nets GC. The defense was the difference-maker this series going against MVP candidate Choc point guard for Nets GC. Known for his ability to score at will and also create for others Wizards DG were able to keep him under 30 points the first game and completely taking him out the 2nd game holding him to only 13 points in a blowout game 2. In-game 1 of that series everyone contributed big-time JBM finished with 31 points and 15 assists (Double-Double), BRICH with 15 points, JustAwkward with 26, Newdini with 12 points, and Dayfri 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists almost having a triple-double in game 1. In-game 2 that was a blowout it was another good game for everyone. With JBM picking up where he left off from game 1 with another double-double this time 40 points and 15 assists, BRICH with 16 points,

JustAwkward with another 20 point game at the lock position, Newdini with 14 points and 8 rebounds almost a double-double, and Dayfri with almost another triple-double 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. With the 2-0 on that series Wizards District gaming has become Eastern Conference champions and has punched their ticket to another 2kLeague Finals where they will match up against a great Jazz Gaming team.

We were almost close to getting a rematch of last year’s NBA2KLeague finals with the Wizards facing off against the Warriors but Jazz Gaming had other plans and ended up taking the series in the Western Conference finals. Now both Wizards District Gaming and Jazz Gaming will face each other in Season 4 of the NBA2KLeague Finals.

The matchup I am most interested in is the Center matchup Dayfri vs Ria both are top 5 at their position and both have had a great regular season and have performed well leading up to the finals. Next is the Point Guard matchup between JBM and Splashy two guards that know how to put the ball in the hoop and create looks for their teammates when required this is both of these guards first time on the stage this year we will definitely be in for a good battle on stage from these two PG’s. Both locks on both teams have had a great season this year with Compete on the Jazz and JustAwkward from Wiz DG they both will have their work cut out for them with PG matchup. At SG position we Lotty from Jazz Gaming BRICH from Wiz DG, both players have played a big part in their role on each team. With Jazz Gaming trading to get Lotty back, it allowed them to go on their run this year at the end of the season as well as in the playoffs. Also with adding BRICH to starting lineup it allowed the Wizards offense to open up more as they had some problems earlier in the season at the SG position. Last but not least we have the PF matchup between Beezus from Jazz Gaming and Newdini from Wiz DG both also considered top 5 at their position. Containing the PF for Jazz Gaming Beezus will also be a key factor to the Wiz winning as he has shown up big time for them in the past playoffs series leading up to the finals. This will be Newdini’s 3rd Finals appearance in the 2KLeague he also has the most earnings made in the league and will look to show why he is made for the money!
