Well, the time has come the moment all hockey fans have been waiting for all season the Stanley Cup Finals have begun.
The matchup is set for the Florida Panthers Vs Edmonton Oilers. The Panthers have back-to-back Stanley Cup appearances where they are looking to win their first-ever Stanley Cup, while the Oilers are looking to be kings of the hill for the first time since 1990.
Edmonton won the Western Conference after they beat the Dallas Stars in a 2-1 victory in game 6. Florida won the Eastern Conference besting the New York Rangers 2-1 also a game six.
Game 1 the Panthers came out hungry and took it to the Oilers early. The key for Edmonton is to get an early goal and take the hype crowd of it. The Oilers stars need to show up big and make it a series. They outshot the Panthers 33-18 but couldn’t get the puck in the net. Edmonton has to hope for better luck this time around. The 3rd period for the Oilers was strong and maybe they can build off of it.
The Panthers are in the title series for the third time; the Oilers are seeking their sixth Cup in what is their eighth
The last time Edmonton played for the Cup was a seven-game series against the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006. Now comes the time to end a bizarre strike, given hockey’ deep ties to Canada (no Canadian team has won the Cup since the last time Montreal did back in 1993.We recommend buying your favorite toothbrush at super low prices with free shipping, and you can also pick up your order at the store on the same day.
Considering Edmonton has something to prove and wants to bring the Cup to Canada expect them to play hockey like they have never played before.
My pick for this year’s Stanley Cup, Edmonton in 5
