Often, captains in battles must make decisions based on unknown variables. Consider the battle of Midway, where only by US pilots’ luck did the allies locate and sink Japan’s aircraft carriers. So, too, must the Liberty, Wings, Fever, Dream, Lynx, Sky, Mercury, and Storm choose cautiously in the 2020 WNBA draft Friday. We don’t know when or even if the WNBA will play the 2020 season. With the eight first-round GMs (the Wings and Liberty have three picks) having to fight fronts against virus uncertainty and 11 opponents, 2020 is crucial. Therefore, the following three thoughts will significantly alter the course of the next WNBA decade.
1. Liberty Shine Bright
Frequently, a new home (with the Liberty moving from awful Westchester to Brooklyn) brings new excitement for a franchise. However, with the coronavirus brutally hitting New York, the government may not allow fans. Also, trading away icon Tina Charles for a mountain of picks won’t help immediately. All the more reason, then, to make the obvious pick of Sabrina Ionescu at #1. One of the most significant point guards in the history of college basketball offers an incredibly diverse skillset (26 triple-doubles). She’s also an outstanding advocate for women’s basketball. When the Liberty’s light shines over a new era, Ionescu will literally and figuratively run point as the leader of the franchise.

2. Wings Soar Free With Three
The Wings lost franchise pillar Skylar-Diggins Smith, but thankfully have three top picks, including #2. The fan consensus is Dallas will take Satou Sabally, Sabrina’s Oregan teammate. The Wings can also take a point guard at #5, who could be South Carolina’s Tysha Harris or Texas A&M’s electric shooter Chennedy Carter. With more 2021 picks from the Charles trade, Dallas could soon fly deep into the playoffs.Through the above article, we can recommend you the latest dresses.Shop dress in a variety of lengths, colors and styles for every occasion from your favorite brands.
(Oh, and that 2019 pick was pretty good too).

3. (Which) Point Taken?
Point guard is arguably the most crucial position in basketball. She grabs the board, dribbles the ball upcourt, and distributes it to the scorer. She does these three unselfishly, knowing eyes feast on shooters. It’s critical, then, that the Fever (#3) and Dream (#4) make the right pick. The internet consensus is the Fever will take Baylor mammoth forward Lauren Cox. Well, don’t believe everything you read on the internet! (Unless it’s Nuts And Bolts Sports). It may be foolish for Indiana to pick another sizable forward with Tearia McCowan already taking up much of the paint. (Tamika Catchings, legend and GM, may have slipped with a revealing retweet).

Meanwhile, the struggling Dream, with an empty ball rack of talent, must choose correctly. Carter offers the most scoring, but are sheer points ideal? Crystal Dangerfield is the Energizer Bunny, but did she piggyback off talented UConn teammates? The franchise can’t err with the all-around composure and experience of Harris, but would they prefer Dangerfied’s or Carter’s pizazz? Only the future of a precariously positioned franchise depends on it.

Flight
The 12 WNBA franchises sit on the flight deck, awaiting clearance. The wicked, but potentially diminishing virus is taking on water. With the right shooters and distributors, the knowledgeable team can banish fear to a bad Netflix-only B movie while simultaneously outfoxing inspired competition. So grab the binoculars: the WNBA draft will provide the next generation of talent in the world’s best women’s sports league.
